“Buckets, shovels and sand oh my! Beach, ocean and blue sky.”
Those words are an adorable caption on a darling invitation by Twinkle Twinkle Little Party for Owen’s birthday!.
Throw in a few treats and refreshing drinks and you’ve got one amazing summer party!
A beautiful beach inspired dessert table was made even more breathtaking with the setting sun, waves and sand providing a natural backdrop.
I’m in love with the gathered light blue tablecloth, a perfect choice to mimic the sea breeze and ocean waves.
Happy summer colors of aqua, orange and red were combined in cute printable decor and were reflected throughout the styling.
A lovely confetti balloon with colorful tassel garland blew gently in the breeze (One Stylish Party).
Brandi used wonderful pieces of nautical inspired wood decor on the treat table. The rustic feel paired with the rope detailing added the perfect beach-y feel for displaying sweet treats.
It’s hard enough building a sandcastle out of sand-creating a sandcastle cake takes sandcastle building to a whole new level. The Sweet Tooth Cakery was up for the challenge and produced this beautiful cake, perfect for the theme.
I love how Brandi displayed colorful beach themed cookies and cupcakes (by Sweet Bites by Karen) with printable toppers in a wooden display case.
The use of small art easels for displaying the cookies was brilliant, as each was truly an edible masterpiece. They coordinate well with the invitation and decor.
A close examination of the cupcakes reveals awesome frosting “surf ” and twine wrapped cupcake wrappers. Small details like these make such a difference!
Eye-catching candy kabobs by Four Monkeys Candy Connection provide a fun pop of color on a bed of sugar sand. I love the twine wrapped sticks.
Another sweet dessert idea from Four Monkeys was the Twizzler flags displayed in glasses filled with aqua jelly beans-what a clever way to tie in the look of sandcastle flags.
Brandi made the creative sandcastle cake pops! Aren’?t those mini flags the cutest cake pop embellishment? They look so yummy, too.
Coated in sand to bring in more of that sandcastle feel, the letters which spelled out “Owen” were the perfect dessert table accessories.
An afternoon in the sun can work up a great thirst. A galvanized bucket held refreshing beverages with more sweet personalized printables. Beverage wraps are a great way to dress up a drink.
Displayed on a bright orange blanket, sand pails and shovels served as favor buckets and were filled with everything the boys would need for a fun day building sandcastles: beach towels, spray bottles, sunblock and castle flags. Each pail was outfitted with a waterproof favor tag.
Building a sandcastle; doesn’t that sound almost magical? And such a fun party activity. (See more outdoor party games here.) Food, friends, sun, surf and sandcastles; what a way to celebrate a birthday. What a fun party!
