Easy Kid’s Lunchbox Ideas

I won’t lie, it’s kind of hard for me to believe that back to school is right around the corner. It seems like we just started our break!

My solace for lazy summer days coming to an end is that I get to go back to school shopping at Target. My love for Target is intense on a good day… but add in school supplies and we’ve reached a whole new level of happy.

My love for fresh, new school supplies didn’t stay behind in my childhood — it’s alive and well today, thank you very much. Target has so many cute and amazing products to love. I love picking up all the things my boys need.. plus a couple of things for my home office, as well.

I’ll admit — I get excited over new highlighters and notebooks, but I don’t especially love packing lunches. But it’s a necessity when you’re mama bear. Thankfully, Target has me covered when it comes to lunches as well!

Our nightly routine is a kitchen dance party after dinner and dishes are done. We pop on the music — each kiddo gets to pick one song — and then it’s time to bust a move. As we jive around the kitchen, I put together lunches, assembly-line style on the counter. The boys love helping to grab their favorites to pop in as well, like Honey TEDDY GRAHAMS(R) Snacks.

For the main course, my guys love roll-ups with ranch for dipping. I wash and dry off lettuce leaves, then take slices of cheddar cheese and lunchmeat to layer and roll in the lettuce. I slice for easy eating and place into the container. I used honey ham but you could also use turkey or roast beef if your kids prefer.

Sliced apples and celery sticks are a simple addition that my boys really enjoy. It’s hard to beat that naturally sweet, satisfying crunch!

Danimals(R) Strawberry Explosion Squeezables Kids’ Yogurt is both fun and yummy to eat. And of course, don’t forget the Honey TEDDY GRAHAMS(R) Snacks.

Lettuce Roll-up Lunch:

I learned early on with my guys that they manage to get themselves messy almost constantly. As such, I always tuck a package of Kleenex(R) Wet Wipes Gentle Clean into their lunchboxes as well, so that they can wipe their sticky fingers and cheeks off when lunch is done. I’ve been known to use them while packing lunches, as well, they’re excellent!
